My Client, a pioneer within clean energy and carbon markets research, has seen significant success and growth. With research and editorial staff of over 130, further opportunity has arisen for a high-energy and productive sales professional to join the international team.
The company provides a range of news, data and research services covering renewable energy, biofuels, CCS and the carbon markets to the world’s leading investment houses, law firms, governments, NGOs, oil companies and major corporations, navigating their transition to a low-carbon economy.
Focusing on subscription sales of clean energy and carbon market news, data and research products to the financial, business and government marketplaces, the core responsibilities of the successful Sales Associate will be to:
• Demonstrate and articulate the full range of services to new clients to result in new business
• Negotiate renewal subscriptions with existing clients
• Assist in broader business development and marketing activities
• Identify cross-selling opportunities between teams
As the individual develops industry expertise and commercial sales success, it is expected that the position and responsibilities will become more complex and expansive. My client enjoys continuous personal and professional development.
This position requires a motivated and productive individual, with a high work rate and the ability to multi-task. We are looking for demonstrable evidence of:
• A proven track record of selling high value research and consulting services
• Experience of selling financial information or analytical services to organisations
• Strong working knowledge of finance, including public markets, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and project finance
• Strong quantitative skills, comfort with financial databases, corporate and market statistics and other elements of financial analysis and consulting
• Knowledge and/or interest in the renewable energy and low-carbon technology sectors and markets
