Acre is working with a global retail company, a household name that is looking to further reduce its carbon footprint and environmental impact.

This key role will work internationally to motivate country offices to deliver low carbon business in a commercial manner. The position will involve formulating strategies of energy efficiency and renewable solutions and working with each country to realise these. Further to this the role will involve:

• Imparting your passion and belief for reducing the company’s environmental impact coupled with financial awareness
• Formulate the components of a low carbon business
• Develop strategies and practical solutions (particularly renewable energy) suitable to each country and their regulatory framework, Government subsidies and targets

The candidate should be able to work independently and proactively, be able to identify trends and regulatory impacts that will affect strategies and be able to respond to this. The ideal candidate will:

• Hold an engineering degree (or equivalent)
• Have a background in providing advice on renewable energy and low carbon solutions
• Be able to create clear plans and motivate stakeholders in achieving these

This position will provide the opportunity to influence a FTSE 100 company to improve environmental practices and drive low carbon initiatives on a global scale.
